Qualifications
Grace Kim started playing piano at the age of five. She held a
Bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Hanyang University in South
Korea. She has a Master’s degree in piano performance at Virginia
Commonwealth University. She was the associate faculty (Music) at Mt. San Jacinto College in California from 2006 to 2011. Previously, she taught at three different universities and colleges in South Korea. (Peoyoungtaek University, Suwon Science College, and Suwon Women’s College.) |
She was the guest performer at the opening ceremony of Star Wars
Celebration IV held by Lucasfilm at the LA convention center in
California on May, 2007. She has had experience playing in a variety of
music beyond classical music, such as musicals, movie music, jazz, and
as accompaniment to different sets of ensemble, soloists, singers, and
orchestra.
She has had great experience teaching piano to students from young
beginners to adults in any level. She is the current member of
Katy
Music Teachers Association (KMTA), TMTA, and MTNA.
